TERMS OF SERVICE

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the Inbox Swipe Chrome extension ("the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not install or use the Extension.

These Terms apply to all users of Inbox Swipe, operated by Carbon Mails ("we", "us", "our").

2. Description of Service

Inbox Swipe is a free Chrome browser extension that connects to your Gmail account to help you triage unread emails. It displays unread email threads one at a time and allows you to archive, mark as read, save for later, skip, or draft a reply — all without leaving your current browser tab.

The Extension operates entirely within your browser. It does not use a backend server and does not transmit your email data to any server operated by Carbon Mails.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Extension. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have the authority to agree to these Terms.

4. Google Account & Permissions

Inbox Swipe requires access to your Google account via OAuth to function. By granting access, you authorise the Extension to:

• Read your unread Gmail messages for display in the popup
• Modify message labels (e.g. archive, mark as read, apply the "Swiped" label)
• Open Gmail compose windows on your behalf when you choose to reply

You may revoke this access at any time via your Google Account permissions. Revoking access will stop the Extension from functioning until you re-authorise it.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the Extension beyond what applicable law expressly permits
• Use the Extension in any way that violates Google's Terms of Service or Gmail's Acceptable Use Policy
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems or networks connected to the Extension
• Use the Extension for any unlawful purpose or in a way that could harm others

6. Intellectual Property

The Extension, including its code, design, and branding, is owned by Carbon Mails and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or other brand features.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Extension is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

We are not responsible for any actions taken on your Gmail account as a result of using the Extension, including accidental archiving or deletion of emails.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carbon Mails shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Extension — including but not limited to loss of data or emails.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Extension shall not exceed £100.

9. Changes to the Extension

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Extension after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
